Star Wars: The Clone Wars este un serial TV de desene animate, a cărui acţiune se petrece în cadrul universului Star Wars. A debutat pe Cartoon Network la data de October 3, 2008.[5] Cronologic, se situează între Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones şi Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, suprapunându-se cu perioada detaliată de serialul omonim din 2003 şi de multele povestiri din cadrul Clone Wars multimedia project. Al doilea sezon va fi difuzat în toamna lui 2009.[6]
It deals with the various conflicts between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems, both being manipulated by Supreme Chancellor Palpatine, aka Darth Sidious, who was planning to turn Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker into his next Sith apprentice. The series is produced in high-definition, and has a 22-minute runtime like that of the previous animated series Star Wars: Droids and Star Wars: Ewoks.[3]
